This past weekend Marty Chiropractic received an award for participating in a pilot project on outcome measures in low back pain treatment with ChiroCare of Minnesota, Inc (CCMI) and Minnesota Community Measurement.
The project ran for 3 months from May to the end of July of 2015, and then further follow-up, data collection and extraction occurred through the final days of 2015. Analysis is ongoing. It was an exciting project not without hard work, and an honor to be a part of. Marty Chiropractic was invited to participate in the pilot due to it’s designation as a ChiroCare Center of Excellence. There were 3 other clinics that also participated in the pilot study.
So now what? Well, this project helped to set the groundwork for the upcoming year-long ChiroFirst research study that will start July 1, 2016, headed by CCMI with Minnesota Community Measurement. This study will examine and report on three important aspects of healthcare including patient outcomes with treatment for low back pain, patient satisfaction, and cost of care. The outcome measure is for the treatment of low back pain only. Participation in this study is open to all ChiroCare Centers of Excellence.
We at Marty Chiropractic appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this important work in healthcare, and as always, will strive to provide the best care to patients and the community! Thank you for letting us serve you in your healthcare needs.
