I was 13 years old when I discovered I had a gift in the use of my hands.  I was taking a sign language class when my instructor noticed I had a natural talent for communicating with my hands.  I noticed that while my classmates were complaining of sore hands and fingers, my hands didn’t hurt at all.  That’s when I began giving hand massages to my classmates; and they loved them!

I continued learning sign language and giving hand massages.  Before long it progressed into neck and shoulder massages.  I pursued both methods of communicating with my hands – American Sign Language and massage.  Now after many career twists and turns, I still find myself communicating through my hands.

I graduated from Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork where I earned a diploma in Massage Therapy.  My course of study included a variety of modalities including Relaxation, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy.  I have taken additional training in a variety of massage technique courses.  I am nationally certified, a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) and a Massage Therapy Instructor.
