Elisa Kensinger, D.C.
A native of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Dr. Elisa was recruited to play collegiate volleyball in Chicago and that sparked the beginning of her interest in healthcare as a profession. After an array of sports related injuries, she became convinced that there were alternatives to surgery and pain killers and was introduced to the world of chiropractic. She completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic with honors from Northwestern Health Sciences University and has been serving the Burnsville area for the past three years. Dr. Elisa has completed advanced training and certification in both Graston and Kinesiotape Techniques. Each of these techniques treat and rehabilitate soft tissues, thereby improving joint function. She frequently utilizes these techniques on athletes from pee wee to professional levels and finds they also work well with repetitive stress injuries, especially in the arms and legs.
Dr. Elisa has provided coaching for Fortune 500 companies for the past 2 years in back health and weight loss strategies. Caring for pregnant women and babies is another area of special interest for her.
Dr. Elisa enjoys being wife to husband Dan, and mom to infant daughter Josie and wonder dog Vito. In her spare time she continues to participate in competitive volleyball.
